Healthy Heath Oatmeal Cookie

We were curious to see how these cookies would taste if we substituted applesauce in place of the butter ... They were definitely healthier tasting. If you need a sugar fix without feeling guilty, these cookies would be the perfect treat to make. Delicious in a very healthy way : ) They aren't anything to drool over, but definitely something I would make again in the future.

Healthy Heath Oatmeal Cookie:

1 C. Applesauce
3/4 C. Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 C. Granulated Sugar
2 Egg whites
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1 1/2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tsp. Salt
3 C. Oats
1 C. Milk Chocolate Toffee Bits (HEATH)
1/2 C. Chocolate Chips

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Beat together Applesauce, Vanilla, Sugars and Egg Whites until creamy.
3. Combine Flour, Baking Soda, Salt and Oats in a seperate large mixing bowl.
4. Add dry ingredients; mix well
5. Add in Heath bits and chocolate chips; mix until well blended
6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto greased(since there is no fat, they would stick to the pan like krazy glue) cookie sheet.
7. Bake 11 minutes or until golden brown
8. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
*Makes about 3 dozen
*Approximately 125 Calories/cookie, not too shabby for a delicious treat ; )
